NFI Industries once again recognized the dedication and professionalism of its drivers with this year’s 2025 Million Mile celebrations

In late August, 28 drivers from across the nation were honored for reaching an incredible career milestone: logging one million safe driving miles. These achievements are both a personal triumph for each honoree and a cornerstone of NFI’s strong culture of safety and service.

This year’s celebrations took place across four different events:

  • Indianapolis, IN
  • Myrtle Beach, SC
  • Bethlehem, PA
  • Dallas, TX (where drivers and their families were recognized during a baseball game)

Each gathering provided a special opportunity for the company to thank drivers and their families, highlight their accomplishments, and celebrate together as a community.

What the Million Mile Honor Means

The Million Mile recognition is awarded to NFI drivers who achieve one million miles without a preventable accident. This remarkable milestone takes years of focus, skill, and commitment. NFI’s program ensures that these drivers are recognized for their longevity, as well as the professionalism and safety that define their daily work.

As honoree Todd B. shared, “I feel that my focus behind the wheel and my understanding of my vehicle as well as my commitment to safety has allowed me to reach this milestone. I also make it a point to learn new things every day.”

Other drivers echoed the importance of daily habits and smart decision-making. Charleston H. advised, “Always check your equipment. Do your pre-trips and post-trips. Never assume anything. Pay attention and drive smart.”

For new drivers entering the industry, Oscar J. offered guidance: “Be patient, don’t rush the process. Take your time. Always remember that safety and your life is more important than getting a load delivered on time.”

By honoring drivers who achieve this benchmark, NFI continues to shine a spotlight on the vital role professional drivers play in keeping goods moving safely and efficiently across the nation.

The Legacy of Professional Drivers

Beyond the numbers, Million Mile drivers leave a lasting mark on NFI and the wider trucking community. Their example sets the standard for future generations of drivers, demonstrating that safety and professionalism are what define true success behind the wheel.

When reflecting on what he hopes to leave behind, driver Cory G. said: “To have established a safe driving environment—leading by example to get the job done safely, efficiently, and legally.”

Charleston H. summed up the journey simply: “Put in your time, listen to experienced drivers, and don’t panic—be sure of yourself.”

A Culture of Safety and Excellence

The Million Mile celebrations are just one way NFI demonstrates its commitment to a culture of safety and appreciation. By investing in its drivers, fostering strong community connections, and recognizing career milestones, NFI continues to build an environment where drivers can thrive.

As NFI looks to the future, the company remains dedicated to empowering drivers to succeed, supporting them on the road, and celebrating the milestones that define a career.
